My number one recommendation for e-waste is to consider taking it to one of the area Goodwill stores if they are still in working order or repairable. The Goodwill store at 2800 W. Tennessee Street has a complete computer refurb. store.

Also, all the extraneous cords, adapters and other pieces of equipment that we acquire over time can often be reused by Goodwill and may be exactly the part or cord they need.

For e-waste that needs to be recycled, one can also bring it to one of the City's Cash for Trash events held several times a year.

As a last resort, if you live inside the City of Tallahassee, electronics can be placed next to your garbage container on your regular bulky item pickup day. This e-waste is picked up and delivered to the Leon County Solid Waste Management Facility for proper recycling and disposal.

It's too sad that people do not realize that 'going green' is a redistribution of wealth hoax that is being pushed by the UN. (Research Ottmar Eddenhoffer (sp?) and read his quote)

I've got to i always was obviously a little leary with all the different hype taking place around solar. After reviewing quite a few programs and buy options my spouce and i chose to make the leap. We finished up getting solar without the need of money down and immediatly started putting money aside the 1st month is was installed. I have to admit the primary advantages of solar appear to be real and I am very happy that we made a decision to proceed with it.

Me and Micheal were looking at purchasing a number of residential solar panels for our house this past year. The only concern was the price. The cheapest solar system we found was close to 15 thousand bucks. It could have taken us decades to recoup that amount of money. Anyway, we stumbled across these guidelines for creating your own residential solar panels. We ended up going that route. It saved us quite a bit of money, and the totally free, green electrical power is wonderful! :) We power several of our kitchen appliances off of this grid.

You should take a look at the roof of some of the fire stations in Tallahassee. You will be surprised to see some solar water heating systems. They look pretty cool. I believe they were installed by a local solar company called Premium Solar. Good job to everybody for making Tallahassee greener!
