The award-winning documentary Bag It Is Your Life Too Plastic? is coming to Tallahassee Thursday, July 19th. Hosted by the Big Bend Group of the Sierra Club, there will be two screenings one at 6 PM and one at 8 PM at All Saints Cinema.
The film follows “everyman” Jeb Berrier as he tries to make sense of our dependence on plastic bags. Although his quest starts out small, Jeb soon learns that the problem extends past landfills to oceans, rivers and ultimately to human health.
Sierra Club Florida has made the elimination of single-use plastic bags a conservation priority. Between showings there will be an opportunity to discuss the movie and actions we can take to address this important issue.
Check out the trailer below.
More information on the free screening is at the Green Calendar, where you can watch the depressing plastic bag counter spin unceasingly upward.
