The 2012 top 10 list from Clean Fleet for electric vehicles is out, along with the electric car forecast for the US. It's projected that EV sales will triple in the next three years. Cities much larger than Tallahassee are able to better support EVs. Increased adoption of all electric will be tied to the availability of charging stations, as more people want the EV as their main vehicle, rather than only an 'around town' car, as well as the continuing search for a lighter, fast charging battery.
Nissan leads the list with its Leaf, several of which can be seen driving around Tallahassee.
