Twin Oaks Farms in Bonifay is hosting a workshop covering the basic of raising and maintaining chickens in your backyard. (Raising chickens in Tallahassee is not against any ordinance, just no roosters.)the organic way
From 10:00 AM TO 2:00 PM on Sunday March 21st., Twin Oaks, a USDAcertified farm, will cover housing, brooding, watering, feeding and raising free roaming.chickens as they grow from chicks to egg-laying hens.
The workshop, will be held rain or shine. The cost is $35 per person and will include a light lunch.
Also, available for purchase will be three-week old, certified organic Rhode Island Red chicks,
USDA certified organic feed without soy, and everything you will need to leave the workshop and start raising your own.
