BEEKEEPING AS HOBBY

An Introduction to Keeping Honey Bees in North Florida: Apalachee Beekeepers Association is hosting a short course for hobby beekeepers on Saturday, February 27th at the Leon County Extension office. 

The course will introduce folks to the biology of homeybees and to the basics of caring for a bee colony.  If you decide to launch your own beekeeping experiment, equipment from local and ways to order a nucleus hive will be offered.  

The registration fee of $20 includes membership in the Apalachee Beekeepers Association.  Registration starts at 8:30 AM, the class will end around 5:00 PM

The Extension Office is located at 615 Paul Russell Road.
