"A society built on green design, sustainable energy and closed loop systems, a civilization afloat on a cloud of efficient, non-toxic, recyclable technology." ~~Alex Nikolai Steffan

What's Not Green?

While magazine writers perform an important service, sometimes they just don't get it write--right.

Recently, Dwell Magazine featured an EcoSmart coffee cup manufactured by Insulair that has a corrugated sheet of recycled paper sandwiched into the cup's lining, thus creating more packaging than may be necessary. At least with the outside sleeve, it can be optional. But where the writer really went astray in this Green Goes Mainstream issue, was the comment:

because the cup is made of recycled paper and fibers, when you're done with your drink, there's no guilt to toss.
By the way, you get a discount at Black Dog on Lake Ella if you bring your own ceramic mug.
