From the US Energy Administration, here's how much would be generated by new offshore drilling, the topic of hot debate among Presidential candidates and supporters, until lipstick. The official US government estimate of the contribution offshore oil can make to the US oil supply in the next 20 years is represented by the teeeny yellow wage in the upper right hand corner of this graph.
