Tallahassee Community College is doing its part with its recent offering of training in Alternative Energy Occupations to train participants to successfully pass the Florida contractor's exam or the national level North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners certification.

The Introduction to Photovoltaics is an 48 hour course that will cover the design and installation of photovoltaic systems for individuals who are contractors, electricians, utilities employees, engineers, etc.

The Introduction to Thermal Solar Hot Water Heating is a 32 hour course in the classroom designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to design, install, operate and maintain the most common types of solar water heating systems.
