WHY NOT A HYBRID?

The Florida Lottery announced that its giving away gasoline as one
of its prizes. Like other recently proposed energy fixes, this one
seems pretty short sighted. Why not give away a hybrid car? Toss in
a coupon for a replacement battery. My math-type Green Readers can
calculate the higher value of this versus a prize of gasoline.
China enters the hybrid race by announcing its partnership to build
and sell Prius to the emerging middle class--now equal in number to
the entire population of the US.
