Aaron Bauldree, President of the Tallahassee Community College Engineering Club received a $2,500 grant that funded the "solar powered golf cart." He's also working on a heat reconcentration system, a solar powered heating and air conditioning unit and a biodiesel production facility that would help eliminate fertilizers from the wastewater in Leon County.
He'll be speaking at the monthly luncheon of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers about how the TCC Engineering Club spent last semester working on a way to convert one of TCC's maintenance carts to solar power. The project was completely designed, developed and carried out by students, including everything from finding the funding to logging the final data--all in one semester!
Aaron will speak at the Golden Corral, 1630 North Monroe Street, on Friday, April 25th. The lunch is from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM.
RSVP recommended, but not required. 850.224.4363.
