Solar Pumps Help Florida Farmers

Ag Net online reports that Florida's farmers will receive cost-share assistance to install solar pumps to get water to livestock. According to the to go solar company out of Oklahoma, solar pumping systems work "anywhere the sun shines." Solar pumps could replace many of the old fashioned windmill type pumps that we're used to seeing in rural Florida and Georgia, as these wind pumps require frequent, labor intensive maintenance.
