LEED Certified Buildings Growing in Florida

Florida Atlantic University just announced it hopes to be the first university in Florida with a LEED Platinum certified building. An 80,000 square foot building for offices and classrooms for computer science and engineering will be constructed in Boca Raton.

Of note also, is Tallahassee's upcoming housing and mixed-use commercial development, Evening Rose, which is to be built to LEED standards by K2 Urbancrops.

To learn more about LEED certification for Homes, the US Green Building Council is hosting a webinar series.
The first, held on February 13th is archived and available for download. The two remaining 60 minute webinars
will be broadcast on March 12 and April 9.
Topics include how LEED for homes supports high-performance green homes and how the program recognizes and rewards builders. Case studies will be discussed. For more information click on the green home guide.
