"A society built on green design, sustainable energy and closed loop systems, a civilization afloat on a cloud of efficient, non-toxic, recyclable technology." ~~Alex Nikolai Steffan

It's fun to think that the Honda Insight Hybrid has been around long enough to cause nostalgic glances from Tallahassee drivers. This mint condition beauty was parked in a local Tallahassee parking lot. We had to stop and admire. First introduced in the US in 1999, it was the first mass produced hybrid brought to the states. The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) gave it top honors in its Green Book as the "Greenest Vehicles of 2006." I used to think that the rear wheel covers were weird looking, but now, I think they're cute and practical since it reduces turbulence over the wheels. The car is aerodynamically designed and looks like the Toyota Prius, which came after the Insight, may have borrowed a few of the body design features.
