Global Warming and Valentine's Day

Green Tallahassee might be thinking about a romantic date night at the coast on Valentine's Day and wondering about the ecological consequences of global warming on coastal ecosystems.

We know climate change proposes many direct effects on our Earth's ecosystems and interactions of key species, but what about the indirect effects on the larger community?

The FSU Coastal and Marine Conservation Lecture Series is hosting a lecture by Dr. Bruce Menge, Zoology Department of the Oregon State University, Thursday, February 14 at 7 pm.

The talk will focus on how recent ecological changes in temperature and wind patterns affect California's large marine ecologystems, as well as their relationship to climate and likely future consequences of these changes.

More information on the Marine Lab website.

The FSU Coastal and Marine Lab is located on Highway 98 in St. Teresa.
