Oh, great, of all the other things I have to worry about regarding climate change and global warming, now I have to worry about the potential proliferation of Pythons slithering into my house!
Science blog reports that the already invasive species of Burmese pythons, are highly adaptable and do very well in south Florida whenever their owners grow tired of them and decide to release them into the wild. It seems these snakes are thriving in Everglades National Park and are now gobbling up threatened and endangered species, in addition to any unsuspecting, small family pet.
According to scientists, as the climate warms, this expands the habitats where these snakes can survive to areas well north of Florida and the Everglades.
