Solar Space Heater

What's old comes around again as new. Isn't that the saying? A do-it-yourself version of the "window heat grabber" has been resurected from 1977.

Basically, it's a window box solar collector that sits outside a south facing window and blows warm air into your home or apartment. Still relatively inexpensive to build and install, it's kinda ugly, but it works. In Tallahassee, it's hard to consider thinking about heaters when it's 95 in the shade today. But, if one is so inclined, this invention can be ready for the first cool days.

Complete instructions, diagrams, pictures and building materials list are available in the archives of good ole Mother Earth News.
