The Associated Press reported yesterday that the state of Maryland was given a solar car by the oil company BP Solar. It's a sports utility with 31 horsepower and will be used to patrol state buildings in Annapolis. The state currently has 30 hybrid cars in its fleet and is planning to add additional fuel-efficient cars for state business.
