Alternate Fueled Vehicles

In Saturday's post, I asked what fuel types of vehicles were in the State of Florida's fleet. A very nice gentleman at the Florida Department of Mangement Services' Bureau of Fleet Management responded to my inquiry:

"The State of Florida doesn't presently have any solar or electric vehicles in the current inventory. Below is a list of the current inventory by fuel types. The numbers are representative of cars and light trucks up to one ton.

  • Diesel: 578
  • Flex Fuel: 1712
  • Hybrid: 191
  • Bi-fuel Gasoline/Natural Gas: 150
  • Bi-fuel Gasoline/Propane: 105
  • Gasoline: 16,670
  • Natural Gas: 2"
